Assembly + Farewell

The Grade 1/2 Assembly for Room 7 has been moved from Thursday, January 21st to Thursday, January 28th at 2pm.  At this assembly, we will be saying a final good bye to our wonderful Principal, Mrs. Traquair as her last day is Friday, January 29th. All parents and families are welcome.

A very important notice will be coming today with your child if they are in Grade 4 regarding the Alberta Education Accountability Survey.  This is a very important notice and your participation in the survey helps provide important information on the quality of education your child is receiving.   Please participate in this survey promptly.

National Geographic Live Field Trip

Parents who have security clearance and are interested in going on our field trip on Tuesday, January 19th from 9:00am-12:00pm, please contact Mrs. Johl immediately.  We are still looking for parent volunteers and may have to cancel the trip if there are not enough adults to accompany us.

Zumba Club

Grade 4 students interested in joining the Zumba club have until Tuesday, January 13th do bring back their notices.  There are a few spots left that will be given to students on a first come first serve basis.

Review the video called 'similes' and practice writing sentences with the words 'as' and 'like'. Do the other activities such as 'write about it' and the quizzes as well.

Please practice skip counting by 6's and 7's.

If you would like your child to participate in the grade 4/5 Zumba Club beginning on Friday, January 8th during lunch from 12:00-12:45 club please sign the notice and return in.  The club begins tomorrow. The first 20 students who return their forms will be able to participate in the program.  Students must bring a lunch and are not required to pay a drop-in fee if they regularly go home for lunch.
